Arsenal will be looking to continue their excellent start to the new season when we take on Ipswich Town in the EFL Cup at Portman Road tonight.

Mikel Arteta has rotated his squad with nine changes made from the side that beat Sunderland 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday night.

Kepa Arrizabalaga replaces David Raya in goal while Marli Salmon gets a chance to impress in defence. Gabriel Magalhaes is risked from the start while Myles Lewis-Skelly drops to left-back. Ezri Konsa and Riccardo Calafiori drop to the bench while Ben White misses out with an injury that he picked up at the weekend.

It appears Martin Zubimendi will play at right-back as Jurrien Timber isn’t risked as he continues to work his way back to full fitness. Bruno Guimaraes makes his full Arsenal debut after his superb impact off the bench on Saturday.

Mikel Merino also comes into the side along with youngster Max Dowman. The teenager superstar will be hoping to take his opportunity to impress tonight. Declan Rice is given the night off but Martin Odegaard is among the substitutes.

Noni Madueke comes in for Bukayo Saka on the right wing while Eberechi Eze replaces Cristos Tzolis on the opposite flank. Viktor Gyokeres has endured a tough start to the new season so he’ll be hoping to impress tonight as he replaces Kai Havertz up front for Arsenal.

Youngsters Philogene and Flemming are named on the bench and they’ll hope to get a run out at some point.
