Confirmed line-ups: Sunderland vs Arsenal – Tzolis starts as Arteta makes 4 changes

Arsenal return to Premier League action tonight looking to maintain our 100 per cent start to the season with a win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

We kicked off our Champions League campaign with an impressive 1-0 victory away to Napoli on Wednesday night. Martin Odegaard scored the only goal of the game in the second half to give a dominant Arsenal a deserved three points in Naples.

However, focus now switches back to domestic action as we’re in the north-east looking to make it four wins from four Premier League games. After beating Coventry City and Aston Villa, we came from behind to beat Chelsea last weekend to sit level with Man City at the top of the table.

Victory tonight would move us three points clear and Mikel Arteta has made four changes from the side that won in midweek. David Raya retains his place between the sticks once again while Ezri Konsa partners Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of defence.

Ben White starts at right-back but Jurrien Timber is back on the bench after returning from injury. We see a change at left-back with Riccardo Calafiori coming in for Piero Hincapie.

Myles Lewis-Skelly is also recalled to start in midfield with Mikel Merino making way. Declan Rice keeps his place so Bruno Guimarães and Martin Zubimendi have to settle for places on the bench.

Martin Odegaard will be looking to continue his superb early-season form as he captains Arsenal once again tonight. Bukayo Saka starts on the right flank but there are two other changes in attack with Christos Tzolis and Kai Havertz coming in for Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres.
