Arsenal hold talks to sign Bournemouth star Rayan

By on July 6, 2026

Arsenal have reportedly held talks to sign AFC Bournemouth star Rayan, as per a recent Spanish report.

After letting Antoine Semenyo join Manchester City, the Cherries decided to reinforce the frontline by purchasing the Brazilian from Vasco da Gama in January.

The 19-year-old showcased his productivity at Estádio São Januário last year, making 21 goal contributions in 57 appearances across all competitions.

Rayan has taken no time to adapt to the Premier League’s physicality, scoring five goals and registering two assists in 15 appearances last campaign.

After being impressed by the youngster’s performances, Carlo Ancelotti selected him for Brazil’s World Cup squad. He helped his country reach the last-16 before losing to Norway.

Now, as per a recent Spanish report (via Givemesport), Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on the South American’s development and have already held internal discussions to finalise the operation.

Apart from the Gunners, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also showing an interest in him and could make a concrete approach over the coming weeks.

Rayan to Arsenal

However, having recently signed Rayan, Bournemouth have no intention of letting him leave, with his existing deal set to run until 2031. He has an £87m release clause, which can be triggered next year.

Rayan, standing at 6ft 1in tall, is a left-footed right-winger by trait. He is quick, strong, good in the air, and technically sound. Moreover, he can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, is efficient in creating opportunities for fellow attackers, and can also finish off his chances.

The North London club decided to reinforce the right flank by purchasing Noni Madueke last summer. Moreover, they already have Bukayo Saka, so they don’t need to invest more to add further depth to this position unless anyone leaves.

Instead, they would be better off saving the funds to upgrade the left flank, as Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard displayed inconsistent performances last term. Arsenal are seemingly even open to cashing-in on the Belgian, with his existing deal set to run until next summer.

Nevertheless, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a concrete approach to secure Rayan’s service this summer.
