Arsenal may be given a financial lift in their summer transfer plans as Borussia Dortmund have shown interest in signing Leandro Trossard.

The Belgian forward, who joined the Gunners from Brighton, could be on the move again if the Bundesliga side make a formal offer.

According to The Times, Dortmund have placed him on their list of potential signings as they look to strengthen their attack.

With Arsenal hoping to continue revamping their attack ahead of the new season, the possible departure of Trossard could open the door for one or even two major additions.

Gunners remain focused on attack reinforcements

Arsenal have already completed deals for Viktor Gyökeres and Noni Madueke, but Mikel Arteta’s side remain keen on signing a natural left-sided attacker.

One of the names strongly linked with the club is Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes.

The Brazilian winger has emerged as a top target to bring more directness and flair to Arsenal’s left wing.

Another player under consideration is Eberechi Eze. The Crystal Palace star has a release clause worth over £68 million and is a serious target for the club.

Arsenal are working within a structured budget and will need to sell in order to fund more big-name arrivals.

The potential sale of Trossard is viewed as a smart move to balance the books.

According to The Times, funds raised from his departure could go towards securing both Eze and a wide player to complete their forward options.

Trossard had a decent impact last season but did not fully establish himself as a regular starter under Arteta, he registered 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Arsenal.

That makes him one of the more likely candidates to be sold, should a good offer arrive.

It remains to be seen if Dortmund will step up their interest with an official bid. However, there is confidence that Arsenal would consider selling the Belgian if the terms are right.

The club’s transfer strategy is clear – improve the squad’s depth, quality and balance while making sure spending remains sustainable.

With Trossard attracting interest and Eze remaining high on their list, Arsenal’s business is far from done this summer.
