Arsenal are reportedly showing interest in signing Brighton and Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma.

This is according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who claims the Gunners are weighing up their options in the transfer market.

The North London side are determined to strengthen their attack after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta and the club’s board are ready to be active in the summer window.

Kaoru Mitoma has emerged as one of the names under consideration.

The Japanese winger is being seen as a possible addition to increase attacking depth and improve squad quality.

Mitoma has impressed again this season for Brighton. He has scored 11 goals and registered four assists across all competitions.

His performances have not only caught Arsenal’s attention but have also drawn interest from Bayern Munich.

The German giants are said to be closely following the 28-year-old’s situation.

Transfermarkt currently values Mitoma at £38 million. Brighton, however, are not under any pressure to sell, as the player is under contract until 2027.

Brighton’s Track Record and Arsenal Links

Despite holding a strong position, Brighton are known for selling key players at the right price. They have made a habit of developing talent and letting them leave when the market value is high.

Arsenal have enjoyed a good relationship with Brighton in recent years. They previously signed Ben White and Leandro Trossard from the South Coast club.

This connection could help smooth any potential negotiations. Still, Brighton are expected to demand a fee close to or above the player’s market value.

While Mitoma is being considered, Arsenal are still believed to have Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes as their top target. Rodrygo would be the ideal addition, but his availability remains uncertain.

Mitoma represents a more realistic and possibly quicker deal. He fits the profile of a wide forward who can stretch defences and deliver consistent performances.

Arsenal are expected to explore both options in the coming weeks. A final decision may depend on the market conditions and the club’s available budget.

With Champions League football secured, Arsenal know they need more firepower to compete at the top level. The coming window will be crucial in shaping their squad for the next campaign.
