Arsenal predicted line-up against Dinamo Zagreb
Following a disappointing draw against Aston Villa in the Premier League, Arsenal will have to shift their focus onto the Champions League quickly as they take on Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
The Gunners have accumulated 13 points from six games and a win in this fixture will take them closer to the top-eight finish.
On the other hand, Dinamo Zagreb are 25th in the table and they will be desperate to come away with a positive result from this encounter to keep their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stage alive.
Team news
Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have been out injured owing to their respective problems and they are set to remain sidelined for this game as well. Gabriel Jesus’ season is over following a serious knee injury, while Bukayo Saka isn’t in contention to feature after undergoing hamstring surgery.
William Saliba was out due to a hamstring issue last time out and is unavailable for selection tonight as well. But, the good news is that Riccardo Calafiori is available after remaining sidelined in the recent game due to a muscular problem. Ethan Nwaneri is also set to return after recovering from his issue.
Predicted line-up
Mikel Arteta is expected to go with the full team for this game so David Raya is set to continue between the sticks. In front of the Spaniard, Jurrien Timber should continue in the centre-back position amid Saliba’s absence and the Dutchman could be paired up with Gabriel Magalhaes.
Thomas Partey is likely to commence in the right-back position, while Myles Lewis-Skelly would be on the opposite side. Therefore, Calafiori may feature off the bench.
Jorginho should be in the deep-lying playmaker position and on either side of him, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice are expected to start. So, Mikel Merino would have to settle for a place on the bench for the North London club.
Leandro Trossard is set to be on the left flank, while Gabriel Martinelli would be on the right. Kai Havertz may keep hold of his place in the centre-forward position.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Dinamo Zagreb
Raya; Partey, Timber, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Odegaard, Jorginho; Trossard, Havertz, Martinelli
