[Photos] Arsenal handed huge injury boost as key man trains ahead of Man Utd clash
Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost as Alexis Sanchez has been able to take part in full training today ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Manchester United.
Sanchez was replaced by Danny Welbeck just minutes after scoring our third goal during Wednesday night’s 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield Town.
It was initially assumed that Arsene Wenger was simply resting the attacker ahead of Saturday’s United game but the boss confirmed after the match in midweek that Sanchez had picked up a hamstring injury.
Wenger described the issue as minor and was hopeful the Chilean international would be fit to face United this weekend and it looks like our prayers have been answered as Alexis has been able to train with the rest of the squad today.
As long as he doesn’t suffer any sort of reaction then I expect Alexis will be fit to start in attack against United at the Emirates tomorrow night, which will obviously be a huge boost.
However, as expected, Alexandre Lacazette is set to miss out as there was no sign of the striker at London Colney today after he suffered a groin injury against Huddersfield on Wednesday.
