Team: Arsenal vs Singapore XI: Akpom & Wilshere Start

Arsenal kick off their pre-season preparations with a game against a Singapore select XI this afternoon.

The match is our first in the Asia Trophy with the winner playing either Stoke or Everton in Saturday’s final.

Arsene Wenger has named a mixed side with young guns like Matinez, Iwobi and Akpom all given a chance alongside regular first team players like Mertesacker, Wilshere and The Ox.

Here is our team for the game:

Arsenal XI

Martínez; Debuchy, Mertesacker, Gabriel, Monreal; Flamini, Coquelin; Ox, Wilshere, Iwobi; Akpom.

Subs: Szczesny, Bellerin, Zelalem, Crowley, Toral, Willock
