Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs West Brom: Martinelli starts, no Aubameyang
Arsenal get back to Premier League action when we take on Fulham at the Emirates this evening.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang drops to the bench as Gabriel Martinelli is recalled to start up front for Arsenal tonight. Willian also gets a recall to start in attack along with Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe so Martin Odegaard is rested.
Bukayo Saka appears to be starting at left-back with Kieran Tierney dropped to the bench. Calum Chambers replaces Hector Bellerin at right-back while Gabriel lines-up alongside Rob Holding in the absence of the injured Pablo Mari.
Mohamed Elneny comes in to the Arsenal starting eleven and is joined by Dani Ceballos so Thomas Partey drops out. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are other attacking options on the bench.
Obviously Ainsley Maitland-Niles can’t start for West Brom as he’s not allowed to face his parent club.
I find this Arsenal starting eleven ridiculous. The season is virtually over, we’re playing relegation fodder at home but still Arteta persists in starting Mo Elneny, Willian and Ceballos – all who have no future at the club. Why not give youngsters like Miguel Azeez, Folarin Balogun or even Eddie Nketiah a chance? Crazy.
These are the teams for the game:
Arsenal
Leno; Chambers, Holding, Gabriel, Saka; Ceballos, Elneny, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Willian; Martinelli
Subs: Runarsson, Bellerin, Tierney, Cedric, Partey, Odegaard, Lacazette, Aubameyang, Nketiah
West Brom
Johnstone, Furlong, Ajayi, Bartley, Townsend, Phillips, Yokuslu, Gallagher, Robinson, Pereira, Diagne
Subs: Livermore, Robson-Kanu, Grant, Button, O’Shea, Diangana, Gardner-Hickman, Peltier, Taylor
