Confirmed teams: Arsenal vs Southampton – Ozil starts in 3-4-1-2
Arsenal desperately need to get back to winning ways when we welcome Southampton to the Emirates this afternoon.
Unai Emery has stuck with a back three as Sokratis and Calum Chambers join David Luiz in the Arsenal defence. Thankfully the boss has started both Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney in the wing-back roles.
There is still no Granit Xhaka so Lucas Torreira starts alongside Matteo Guendouzi in midfield while Mesut Ozil plays behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in attack.
It means Nicolas Pepe has to settle for a place on the bench alongside Gabriel Martinelli, Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock. Shkodran Mustafi is also on the bench as Rob Holding misses out through injury.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
Leno; Chambers, Luiz, Sokratis; Bellerin, Guendouzi, Torreira, Tierney; Ozil; Lacazette, Aubameyang
Subs: Martinez, Mustafi, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Pepe, Willock, Martinelli.
Southampton
McCarthy; Cédric, Bednarek, Stephens, Bertrand; Højbjerg, Ward-Prowse, Armstrong; Obafemi, Redmond, Ings.
Subs: Yoshida, Long, Djenepo, Romeu, Boufal, Gunn, Valery
