FA Cup 3rd round draw: Arsenal handed tricky away tie
Arsenal have been drawn to face either Solihull Moors or Blackpool away in the third round of the FA Cup following this evening’s draw.
We have a rich history in the FA Cup having won the competition a record 13 times with three of those victories coming within the last five seasons so Unai Emery will be hoping to continue that fine form.
Unfortunately we crashed out to Nottingham Forest in the third round last season during Arsene Wenger’s final year in charge so Emery will be determined to put a good run together this year.
We’ve been drawn to face the winner of National League North side Solihull Moors FC or League One Blackpool after they drew 0-0 at the weekend.
Solihull would obviously be a fairytale tie for the non-league side so hopefully they can do the business in their replay away to Blackpool.
Either way, it’s going to be a tricky away trip for Arsenal as both Solihull and Blackpool will be right up for it at home in the third round of the cup.
The game will be played in early January with exact dates still to be determined.
