[Video] Arsenal reveal boost as defender makes surprise early return to training
Arsenal have let slip that Sead Kolasinac has resumed training after making a swift recovery from a knee injury that’s kept him out so far this season.
The Bosnian international picked up the injury during our pre-season friendly clash with Chelsea and has missed our six matches in all competitions so far this campaign.
The left-back was initially pencilled in to return in November after ligament damage was confirmed but latest updates from the club suggest Kolasinac has been making excellent progress in his recovery.
The team news update published on Arsenal.com on Friday morning ahead of our Premier League clash with Everton claimed the 25-year-old was expected to resume full training in early October.
However, a video uploaded by the official Arsenal Twitter account this afternoon showed Kolasinac taking part in training with the rest of the first team squad today.
As you can see below, Kolasinac receives the ball in the 12th second of the video and looked in good health as he beat his man before cooly slotting past Petr Cech in goal.

So it looks like Kolasinac is already taking part in some aspects of training. He may not be in full training yet but he’s clearly well ahead of his original schedule and should be back in contention soon.
His return will come as a real boost as Nacho Monreal has been holding down the fort at left-back with Ainsley Maitland-Niles also on the sidelines along with Kolasinac. With the games coming thick and fast, it will be a relief to have another option on the left side of defence once Kolasinac is available for selection again.
