[Video Goals] Arsenal 5-1 PSG: Ozil & Nketiah on target for rampant Gunners
Mesut Ozil and Eddie Nketiah were among the goals as Arsenal eased to a 5-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the International Champions Cup in Singapore this afternoon.
We opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Ozil slotted home from close range after being teed-up by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following a swift counter-attack.
PSG made it 1-1 from the spot in the 60th minute after Sead Kolasinac had given away a penalty but we restored our lead minutes later when Alexandre Lacazette’s flick found the top corner – although it may go down as an own goal.
Lacazette then thought he had his second in the 71st minute when his header looked to have crossed the line after coming off the post but replays suggest it was Eddie Nketiah who got the final touch.
Rob Holding then made it 4-1 with a looping header from 18 yards before Nketiah fired home in to the bottom corner for 5-1 in stoppage time to seal an impressive 5-1 win.
Obviously PSG were missing a lot of their star names so we can’t look too much in to the victory but there were still a lot of encouraging signs from Arsenal today.
