Teams: Arsenal v Doncaster: Nelson & Sanchez start
Arsenal entertain Doncaster Rovers at the Emirates Stadium in the third round of the League Cup this evening.
As expected, Arsene Wenger has rotated his team and he’s actually named the exact line-up I called for in my preview, so let’s hope we win!
Chambers comes in to make his first start of the season while Wilshere also gets his first start in an Arsenal shirt for over a year after recovering from a fractured leg.
Wenger seems to be punishing Sanchez as he’s selected to start for the ‘B team’ tonight along with youngster Reiss Nelson – who gets a chance to impress on the right.
Here are the teams:
Arsenal
Ospina; Chambers, Mertesacker, Holding; Nelson, Wilshere, Elneny, Maitland-Niles; Walcott, Sánchez, Giroud.
Subs: Macey, Monreal, Willock, Dasilva, Iwobi, Nketiah, Akpom
Doncaster
Lawlor, Mason, Wright, Butler, Blair, Houghton, Whiteman, Rowe, Kongolo, Coppinger, May
Subs: Marosi, Alcock, Toffolo, Garratt, Mandeville, Marquis, Williams.
