[Full Highlights] U23’s Arsenal 4-3 Man City: Nelson scores double, Wilshere assist
Arsenal’s under-23 side were involved in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Manchester City last night in a game that saw both sides finish with 10-men.
Highly-rated teenager Reiss Nelson impressed once again as he scored two fine goals including an opener that saw him finish well from the egde of the area following a flowing move.
Jack Wilshere stepped-up his injury comeback by making another start for the youth side and things were initially going well for the midfielder as he set-up Edward Nketiah with a fine pass for one of the strikers two goals as we raced in to a 4-1 lead.
However, Wilshere’s night came to an abrupt end when he was dismissed following a bust-up with Tyreke Wilson in the middle of the pitch after reacting badly to a late tackle.
City staged a late comeback to bring the score to 4-3 as Arsenal held on for the victory but unfortunately Nelson’s superb display was overshadowed as all the headlines have been about Wilshere’s sending off.
Here are full highlights of the game including all the goals and Jack’s incident.
