[Video] Arsenal 1-2 Sevilla: Lacazette scores as Gunners slump to defeat
Alexandre Lacazette was on target as Arsenal won the Emirates Cup on goal scored despite limping to a 2-1 defeat to Sevilla this afternoon.
Arsene Wenger named a strong side for the game but we fell behind early in the second half as Correa slotted past Petr Cech for the opening goals in the 49th minute.
We responded well and drew level just after the hour mark as Lacazette was on hand to score at the far post following some excellent work by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain down the right.
However, Sevilla restored their advantage in the 69th minute when Steven N’Zonzi curled home a stunning goal from the edge of the area to make it 1-2.
There was no way back for Arsenal so we slipped to a 2-1 defeat but we still managed to win the Emirates Cup on goals scored after both clubs finished on nine points.
