Video: Arsenal 2-1 Man City: Sanchez fires Gunners to final
Alexis Sanchez scored an extra-time winner as Arsenal booked their place in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
We were dominated for long periods of the first half and were lucky not to be a goal down after Sterling’s close-range strike was wrongly ruled out after the referees assistant thought Sane’s cross went out.
City could have had a penalty when Oxlade-Chamberlain clipped Aguero in the box while we should also have had a spot kick when Navas pulled Sanchez down in the area, but it was all square at the break.
City were the one’s to finally open the scoring and we did our best to help them out as poor keeping from Cech saw Aguero chip home following a swift break after Ramsey had given away possession.
However, we grew in to the game and drew level in the 71st minute when Nacho Monreal lashed home a volley at the back post following a stunning cross from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
It went to extra-time and Sanchez proved to be the match-winner as he poked home the winner in the 101st minute to book our place in the final against Chelsea.
Here are all the goals:
