Boss confirms Arsenal star is ruled out with hamstring injury
Joachim Low has confirmed that Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has been ruled out of Germany’s friendly with England due to a hamstring problem.
Ozil hasn’t started for Arsenal since our Champions League first leg defeat at Bayern Munich over a month ago with illness and injury restricting him during our last five games in all competitions.
The 28-year-old failed to make the trip to the Hawthorns on Saturday after feeling a tight hamstring during the closing stages of training on Friday so Arsene Wenger didn’t risk him against West Brom.
Ozil was still allowed to link-up with the Germany squad on Monday, however, Germany manager Joachim Low has now confirmed that the Arsenal star won’t feature in Wednesday’s friendly against England.
Mesut will miss the game in Dortmund along with Julian Draxler – who’s got a hamstring problem – and striker Mario Gomez – who’s suffering from a groin complaint.
Low is quoted as saying by the Mirror:
“Those who will not play tomorrow are Ozil, who has some muscle problems. Julian Draxler has the same injury, an upper thigh muscle,”
“Mario Gomez has an adductor muscle injury and may need a few days.”
So it looks as though Ozil was in fact injured for the West Brom game so all the conspiracy theorist have been proven wrong on this occasion.
Let’s hope it doesn’t turn out to be anything serious as we need Ozil back to his best for Arsenal to help get us out of this hole we’ve found ourselves in.

Bonaroca:- I have come to the conclusion that Arsenal Supporters are not very much interested about the players, they are interested that Mr Wenger should b honour his contract up to the end of this season and resign. I have nothing personal against the Manager but after 12 years with not winning the Championship or European Cup then I think he should call it a day and retire with honours then risking another negative season with the paying supporters turning even against the board who are showing an amount of inefficiency on this matter.
Arsenal should take a decision on this matter, and appoint a new manager.
Rumours are that Mr Wenger is extending his contract and try and build a new team.If anyone has to build a new team it is the new manager who will be able to assess the present players, and see which replacement are needed to be strenghten the team and which players he considers to be surplus or do not fit
with his team plan.
Arsenal are a very respected Club world wide, but what is now happening is beyond the ridiculous, the majority of supporters would expect something better.
