Video: Arsenal 2-0 Basel: Walcott double sinks Basel

Theo Walcott scored both goals as Arsenal eased to a 2-0 victory over FC Basel on Champions league match day 2 this evening.

We started brightly again and opened the scoring in the 7th minute when Sanchez found Walcott with a superb cross and the attacker powered home a close-range header for 1-0.

The boys kept the foot on the gas and we doubled our lead in the 26th minute when Walcott played a nice one-two with Sanchez before firing in off the far post.

We continued to dominate the game and missed a hat-full of chances to put the game to bed so had to settle for a 2-0 win which sees us remain level on points with PSG at the top of the group after they beat Ludogorets 3-1.
