It was a hugely disappointing start to the new season as we slumped to a 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates this afternoon. Here are my ratings from the game:

Cech 5

Could do nothing for three of the goals but was suspect for the Lallana one.

Bellerin 6

Touch was heavy at times but made a vital last ditch tackle to deny Firmino a fifth goal

Chambers 6

Got on the scoresheet but was exposed at the back.

Holding 5

Thrown in at the deep end. Steady in the first half but difficult time after the break.

Monreal 5

Given a tough time by Mane. Unusually beaten far too easily at times.

Coquelin 6

Put himself about but struggled to control the midfield.

Elneny 5

Did little of note and looked knackered by the 60th minute.

Ramsey 5

Didn’t look match fit and was taken off with what looked like a hamstring injury.

Iwobi 5

Set up the Walcott goal but was otherwise pretty quiet.

Walcott 6

Worked hard in the first half and recovered from missing his penalty to score the opener.

Sanchez 5

Didn’t look match fit at all and struggled to get in the game playing up front.

Subs:

Cazorla 5

Looked a little off the pace.

Oxlade-Chamberlain 6

Had a positive impact off the bench, sparking our mini-revival with a decent goal.

Xhaka 6

Looked comfortable in possession but was predictably booked. No doubt it will be the first of many.

Understandably the fans vented their anger at Arsene Wenger after the game and the boss is now under increasing pressure to strengthen the squad before the end of the month.

Arsenal problems can only be solved if the management have to relieved that stupid man of his job. He has ran out of ideas. Premier-league now is more than that inexperienced players.

Wenger excuse for loss: “We were inexperienced at the back”. No $hit you bozo, you just realized that?? You had weeks to bring in replacements. What an idiot. Wenger out.

How can the few remaining wenger fans support this clown?? Does he remind you of your grampa and you just can’t see him off?? Since paying off the stadium debt he’s had 4 years to improve the team, but nothing has changed: Same idiotic transfer policy, same predictable tactics, same lame excuses…EVERY YEAR!! Time to say goodbye to grampa. Wenger out

Wenger defiantly stands by his transfer market principles. That’s commendable yet senseless behavior when it’s a detriment to achieving your goal. If winning is in fact his goal.
Maybe his only concern is improving the price/value of the club. It’s the only conclusion that makes sense, when he behaves the same every year with the same inevitable poor results. Wenger out
