The Gunners gave their Premier League title hopes a major boost with a 2-1 victory over leaders Leicester in their last league game and that makes quite a contrast to the 2-1 defeat suffered by Manchester United away at Sunderland.

That result continued to pile pressure on Louis van Gaal and the Dutchman will be mightily keen to deliver a result here. The Reds easily dispatched Shrewsbury on Monday and are no doubt hungry for more in front of their home crowd.

Manchester United are without Wayne Rooney, but David De Gea is expected to return in goal after missing the last three matches with a knee injury.

However, Danny Welbeck is back in the fold for Arsenal and he could be the man to give them that extra something as they look to topple Leicester from top spot today.
