Photos: Ozil relaxes in the sun after being given break by Arsenal

With over a week separating our games with Aston Villa and Manchester City it seems Arsenal have given the players some time off ahead of the hectic festive period.

We eased to a 2-0 win at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon and it’s no surprise that some of the players have been given permission to enjoy some rest before we entertain City at the Emirates on Monday.

One player who has earned a rest is Mesut Ozil and the German schemer took to Instagram to share some photos of him enjoying a mini vacation as he prepares for the Christmas and New Year games.

It’s not clear where exactly Mesut is but it’s certainly a lot warmer than North London right now, and few can begrudge him enjoying some down time after his performances in recent weeks.

Let’s hop Ozil recharges his batteries and comes back to continue’s his rich vain of form that’s seen him notch an incredible 13 assists so far this season.
