Video: Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal: Superb Giroud Goal Lifts Gunners
Arsenal secured a vital 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this afternoon thanks largely to a superb goal from Olivier Giroud.
We started well and grabbed a deserved lead when Mesut Ozil found Giroud with a superb cross before the Frenchman volleyed home in acrobatic style to make it 1-0.
Palace hit back through a fine strike from Joel Ward in the 28th minute but Alexis Sanchez helped to restore our lead when his header was put through his own net by Damien Delaney.
That goal turned out to be the winner as we managed to hold on so we bounced back immediately after last weeks loss to West Ham.
