Arsenal Insider Hint’s On Twitter Our First Signing Is Imminent
Official Arsenal photographer Stuart MacFarlane has caused quite a stir on Twitter this evening after suggesting we’re on the verge of completing our first major signing of the summer.
As you’ll probably be aware, the BBC reported earlier today that Petr Cech had arrived at London Colney to undergo his Arsenal medical ahead of his proposed move from Chelsea.
Sky Sports had earlier this week confirmed that a £10.9m fee had been agreed with the Blues and personal terms had also been settled upon with the player, so the medical was the last major stumbling block preventing the deal from taking place.
We’ve had no further updates on how the medical went, until now…..
Arsenal’s official photographer Stuart MacFarlane hinted this evening that the medical was a success and that Cech was having his photo-shoot tonight ahead of an official announcement.
@arsenal only have 2 photographers, me and @priceyd101. I'm at @Glasto and Pricey's working.

MacFarlane Tweeted to say that while he’s away at Glastonbury, the clubs other photographer David Price was busy ‘working’.
Given the fact he works for Arsenal, it’s safe to assume he’s doing club business….specifically taking photos of our new signing, Petr Cech!
If that turns out to be the case, then we should expect an announcement shortly. We don’t usually unveil new signings on a weekend, unless it’s deadline day, and Sky Sports did suggest the deal would be announced early next week, so we might have to wait until Monday.
We’ve waited this long, so what’s another couple of days. As long as Cech is an Arsenal player this summer then I’ll be happy as he’s an excellent signing for the club and is going to make a huge difference to this team.
