Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil Named April’s PFA Fans’ Player of the Month

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has been named as the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for April, it has been confirmed this afternoon.

Ozil has been in excellent form since returning from a lengthy injury absence at the turn of the year and he continued that form in April.

The German international was outstanding during our 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool where he scored and provided an assist and he followed that up with a solid shift during a hard fought 1-0 win over Burnley.

Ozil was again influential in the FA Cup semi-final win over Reading and was one of the more dangerous players on the pitch during last weekend’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

Despite some sections of the media and opposition fan-base still trying to convince us that Ozil is a ‘flop’, he must be doing something right as he has now been named as the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for April.

Mesut will be presented his award by one lucky supporter before our home clash with Swansea later this month.
