PHOTO: Ozil Thanks ‘Amazing’ Arsenal Fans For Banner Tribute
Mesut Ozil has thanked the ‘amazing’ Arsenal fans for paying tribute to him with his own banner in the stadium on Sunday.
The German playmaker made his comeback from a lengthy injury absence during our 3-0 win over Stoke yesterday as he was introduced as a late substitute.
And the 26-year-old was touched to see a banner being displayed in the stadium reading ‘mia san Arsenal’ – which in Bavarian dialect translates to ‘We are Arsenal’ – with the message flanked by German flags.
Ozil has now taken to Twitter this afternoon to thank the ‘amazing’ fans for putting the banner up in the stadium…..
Can't believe you really put this up at the Emirates!!! You're amazing!! Thank you! #MiaSanArsenal #Gooners #AFC pic.twitter.com/2NxTlQ9XS2
