Arsenal keen on signing Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi

By on October 29, 2026

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi, as per transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg.

After moving to Jan Breydel Stadium from Hannover 96, the 22-year-old enjoyed a promising debut campaign last term, scoring 23 goals and registering seven assists across all competitions.

This season, the forward has continued to showcase his goal-scoring prowess, scoring 12 goals in 14 appearances in all tournaments. He has already scored two hat-tricks. Tresoldi has won a Belgian Pro League title and a domestic Super Cup with Club Brugge thus far.

Now, on X, Plettenberg states that after being impressed by the youngster’s recent eye-catching performances, Arsenal are keen on signing him in January.

Apart from the Gunners, other top clubs are also in this race, while Barcelona expressed their interest in Tresoldi last summer. However, they didn’t want to seal the deal by matching Club Brugge’s £42m[€50m] price tag.

With the player’s existing deal set to run until 2029, the Belgian giants are in a strong position to stay firm on their valuation.

Plettenberg wrote:

“Nicolo Tresoldi is in top form at Club Brugge. Arsenal and other top clubs remain keen on him – also for January. Barcelona showed concrete interest in the days leading up to the last deadline day, but were not willing to meet Club Brugge’s valuation of around €50m.”

Tresoldi to Arsenal

Tresoldi is a 6ft 1in tall right-footed striker. He is quick, can link up the play, possesses poacher instinct inside the box and works hard without possession.

Following Gabriel Jesus’ departure this summer, Arsenal currently have Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres as striker options. However, the Swedish international has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League since joining from Sporting CP last year.

On the other hand, Havertz has displayed inconsistent performances and has had a few fitness problems in recent seasons. So, Arsenal could do with signing a new prolific striker.

Tresoldi is a talented player and possesses high potential. Therefore, he might be a shrewd acquisition should Arteta’s side purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a concrete approach to secure his services in January or next summer.
