Arsenal eye move to sign PSG forward Goncalo Ramos

By on May 15, 2026

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Goncalo Ramos, as per transfer journalist Ekrem Konur.

After being impressed by the 24-year-old’s performances for SL Benfica, Les Parisiens decided to purchase him. He initially moved to Parc des Princes on loan in 2023 before the deal became permanent the following year.

However, the youngster has failed to flourish in Ligue 1. Although PSG have enjoyed great success under Luis Enrique in recent years, Ramos has found himself on the periphery.

Still, he has showcased his productivity, scoring 12 goals and registering a solitary assist in 15 starts across all competitions.

Now, on X, Konur reports that with Ramos set to enter the final two years of his current contract, PSG are open to cashing-in on him this summer to make the most profit out of his departure.

Enrique’s side are planning to replace the Portuguese with Julian Alvarez and are hoping to include Ramos in a part-exchange deal to reduce Atletico Madrid’s asking price.

However, several European clubs are interested in Ramos despite his recent struggles, with Arsenal among those. Moreover, Manchester United are in this race as well.

Ramos to Arsenal

Arsenal currently have Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus as options to deploy in the centre-forward position. However, Jesus and Havertz have struggled with fitness problems in recent years.

The Brazilian has even found it difficult to showcase his best since returning from his injury. So, speculation surrounding his future has been emerging in recent months.

Gyokeres, meanwhile, has displayed inconsistent performances since joining from Sporting CP last summer. Still, he has managed to help Arsenal challenge on all fronts.

So, the Gunners are seemingly planning to add depth to the centre-forward position this summer and have been linked with a few names, with Ramos emerging as a new target.

Although Ramos has struggled to find regular game time at the French capital, he is still very young and has plenty of time on his side to turn the situation around. A change of environment might even help him achieve that.

However, considering Arsenal have established themselves as one of the best clubs in Europe, they need higher-quality players than Ramos to maintain their level.
