Arsenal are set to take on arch-rival Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Following a disappointing 2-2 draw against bottom-side Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Gunners have allowed second-placed Manchester City to close the gap at the top of the table.

The Citizens are currently five points behind, having played one game less, and will face Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.

On the other hand, Tottenham have endured a dire campaign thus far, languishing in the bottom half of the table. They are currently five points ahead of the drop zone. So, Spurs have decided to appoint Igor Tudor as the new manager until the end of this season after dismissing Thomas Frank.

Arsenal won the reverse North London Derby 4-1 courtesy of Eberechi Eze’s hat-trick at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season.

Team news

Mikel Merino and Max Dowman remain sidelined due to their respective problems. However, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard could be available to be involved this weekend after recovering from their respective problems.

Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard picked up knocks in midweek, but they are ready to feature.

Predicted line-up

David Raya is set to continue in goal, while William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes would be the centre-back pairing for the North London club this weekend.

Jurrien Timber is likely to be in the right-back position, and Piero Hincapié should be on the opposite side after putting his name on the scoresheet last time out. So, Ben White, Cristhian Mosquera, and Riccardo Calafiori would be among the substitutes.

Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice could be the midfield pairing, while Eze might be in the No.10 position, as he scored a hat-trick in the reverse game vs Spurs.

Saka is expected to be on the right flank after scoring vs Wolves, while Trossard would be on the opposite side. So, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli are likely to feature as substitutes.

Viktor Gyokeres should lead the line for Arsenal, and Gabriel Jesus would have to make do with a place on the bench.
