Arsenal ready to sell Smith Rowe before Friday’s deadline

Arsenal have reportedly decided to sell Emile Smith Rowe before Friday’s transfer deadline, as per The Times.

The Gunners have been busy in this transfer window and have already purchased Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and David Raya by splashing more than £200m. However, it has been suggested that Mikel Arteta doesn’t want to stop his transfer business just yet as he is keen on adding more firepower.

Signing a new defender is reportedly on Arsenal’s agenda after Timber’s unfortunate knee issue and purchasing a new attacker is seemingly also on Arteta’s wish-list.

However, it has been suggested that having already splashed big money this summer, the North London club can’t afford to spend once again unless they raise funds by selling some players.

So, they have decided to cash-in on Folarin Balogun and are also keen on letting Rob Holding leave the club. But, surprisingly, it appears the Gunners boss is also ready to sell Smith Rowe before Friday’s deadline.

Smith Rowe to leave Arsenal

According to the report by The Times, Arsenal are willing to sell the 23-year-old this summer and the midfielder has already been offered to a few unnamed Premier League clubs.

The report further claims that Smith Rowe has become frustrated at Arsenal due to lack of game-time in recent times so he is ready to move away in search of regular first-team football.

Chelsea have recently expressed their interest in signing the Englishman and it is going to be interesting to see whether they opt to push forward with this deal and purchase him before the end of this window.

Smith Rowe – valued at around £30m by Transfermarkt – still has three years left in his current contract. So, Arsenal can generate a lot of money from his sale.

It is going to be interesting to see whether Smith Rowe eventually leaves the club this summer. Given he has found himself on the periphery in recent times, it will be a wise decision for him to leave the club and play regular first-team football elsewhere.

In that case, Arsenal will be able to generate some money that will allow them to strengthen other areas of the squad before the end of this window, therefore, parting ways will be the right decision for both sides.
