Arsenal have reportedly been showing a concrete interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby this summer, as per the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old has been enjoying a productive campaign for the Black and Reds this term, scoring 14 goals and notching up nine assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

The Frenchman’s impressive performances for Leverkusen have attracted the attention of several big European clubs with Arsenal among those to have registered their interest.

According to the report by the Daily Mail, Arsenal have been showing a ‘strong interest’ in signing Diaby as they have identified the Frenchman as a priority target to strengthen their attack.

The report further claims that Leverkusen could opt to cash-in on the 23-year-old this summer if they receive an offer of around £50m and Arsenal could be happy to match that valuation as they are ready to splash the cash in the upcoming summer window to build a squad that can challenge on all fronts next season.

Diaby to Arsenal

However, the Daily Mail states that signing Diaby won’t be easy for Arsenal as European rivals such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, PSG and Newcastle United are also eyeing a swoop for him.

It has been suggested that Arsenal want to sign a new left-footed right-winger to support Bukayo Saka. They have been linked with numerous options ahead of the summer window with Diaby emerging as a serious target.

The Leverkusen star prefers to be deployed on the right side of the front three but he can play on the opposite side as well. He is quick, technically sound, excellent in link-up play, has the ability to dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas and also can finish off his chances.

Diaby has already showcased his talent during his time at the German top-flight so he would certainly be a great coup for Arsenal if they decide to push forward and broker a deal this summer.

However, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal opt to formalise their interest in Diaby should they look to strengthen their right flank at the end of this season.
