Arsenal team news: Update on Bellerin, Luiz, Ceballos, Kolasinac & more

Arsenal have provided a team news update ahead of our Premier League trip to Norwich City on Sunday and four players could miss the game this weekend.

Freddie Ljungberg will take charge of his first game after being installed as interim manager following Unai Emery’s sacking and the new boss has some fitness concerns to worry about.

Let’s start with the good news and the club have confirmed that Sead Kolasinac is available for selection after recovering from a hamstring injury that’s kept him out of the last two matches.

However, Hector Bellerin will be given a late fitness check to see if he can return at Norwich after missing the Europa League defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night with a tight hamstring.

David Luiz will also need to be assessed at London Colney after being forced off with a rib injury against Frankfurt last night while Shkodran Mustafi also limped out of the game with a foot problem so he’s a doubt to face Norwich.

Arsenal also provided the latest on Dani Ceballos and the midfielder is still aiming to resume full training in mid-December as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

Bruised ribs. Sustained during the Eintracht Frankfurt (h) match on Thursday. Being assessed ahead of Sunday’s match.

Shkodran Mustafi
Bruised left foot. Sustained during the Eintracht Frankfurt (h) match on Thursday. Being assessed ahead of Sunday’s match.

Hector Bellerin
Tight hamstring. Being assessed ahead of Sunday’s match.

Sead Kolasinac
Missed Southampton (h) and Eintracht Frankfurt (h) with slight hamstring issue. Now available for selection.

Dani Ceballos
Left hamstring. Sustained during the Vitoria SC (a) match on November 6. Aiming to return to full training mid-December.

It’s going to be interest to see how Ljungberg lines-up on Sunday in his first game in charge but let’s hope for a marked improvement in the performance as we’ve played woefully all season under Emery.
