Arsene Wenger handed 3-game touchline ban for Mike Dean bust-up

Arsene Wenger has been handed a three-game touchline ban after accepting his misconduct charge following his bust-up with Mike Dean.

Wenger was charged by the FA earlier this week following his comments aimed at referee Mike Dean after he gifted West Brom a late equaliser during our 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns on New Year’s Eve.

The boss is also believed to have used abusive language towards Dean after bursting in to his dressing room after the game while he also questioned the referee’s integrity during post-match interviews.

Wenger stood by his comments in his press conference this morning and refused to apologise but the boss decided against an appeal and admitted the misconduct charge.

The Frenchman has now been slapped with a three-match touchline ban and handed a £40,000 fine meaning he’ll be in the stands for our FA Cup third round clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Wenger will also be forced to sit out the first leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday and the Premier League clash with Bournemouth next weekend.
