[Video] Midfielder arrives in London to hold talks with Arsenal over January move
Steven N’Zonzi has been spotted arriving at Gatwick Airport this evening and the Daily Mail claim he’s set to hold talks with Arsenal over a potential move from Sevilla in January.
N’Zonzi hasn’t featured for Sevilla since having a bust-up with boss Eduardo Berizzo during the clubs dramatic 3-3 draw with Liverpool in the Champions League last month.
The midfielder claims Berizzo blamed him for the Spaniards being 3-0 down to the Merseysiders at half time and he hasn’t played for the club since storming out of the stadium.
N’Zonzi confirmed earlier this month that he’ll leave Sevilla in January and Arsenal are one of several clubs to have been strongly linked with a move for the 29-year-old in recent weeks.
Last week, TeamTalk cited reports from Spain that claimed Arsenal were in advanced negations with Sevilla to trigger the midfielders £32.5m release clause this winter.
The speculation has now gone in to overdrive after N’Zonzi was spotted arriving at Gatwick Airport earlier this evening and while it’s believed he’s here to see his son, the Daily Mail claim he will also hold talks with Arsenal over a January switch.
Here is footage of N’Zonzi strolling through the airport:

I’ve said for several months that we need to strengthen our midfield options and N’Zonzi would certainly add some much needed physicality in the middle of the park if he does end up signing for Arsenal.
However, we’ll face competition as the Daily Mail claim the French international will also hold talks with Everton about a move to Goodison Park with Sam Allardyce hoping to land him on loan.
