Arsenal only willing to pay £13m to sign Porto Attacker – report
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Arsenal are only willing to pay half of Porto’s £26m valuation to sign attacker Yacine Brahimi this summer.
Arsene Wenger is desperately trying to bring in a centre-back and striker before the window closes but there have been suggestions that the boss is also wanting another winger.
Riyad Mahrez has been strongly linked but any move for the Leicester man would cost in excess of £35m and with funds needed elsewhere, it looks like Wenger could be eyeing a cheaper alternative.
Portuguese outlet A Bola names Arsenal as one of the clubs interested in signing Yacine Brahimi this summer but claim that we’re only willing to pay £13m for the winger – which is half of what Porto are looking for.
The Portuguese giants only own 50% of Brahimi’s economic rights, with investment fund Doyen Sports owning the other half, so neither party are willing to sell the 26-year-old on the cheap.
Brahimi has been in excellent form for Porto since joining the club from Granada two years ago, scoring 22 goals and providing 20 assists in his 86 appearances so far, so he’d certainly bring a real threat to our attack if he was to join Arsenal.

The Algerian international is predominantly a left-winger but is capable of playing anywhere across the attacking positions so he’d be a very useful member of the squad.
However, it looks like unless we’re willing to dig a little deeper and meet Porto’s valuation, we won’t be seeing Brahimi coming to the Emirates this summer.
