Ratings: Giroud shines as Arsenal draw 3-3 with Liverpool
Arsenal dropped two vital points after Joe Allen struck in injury-time to rescue a 3-3 draw for Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Here are my ratings:
Cech 6/10 – Should have done better with the opening goal by pushing the Can shot wide and I think he could have kept the Allen goal out too.
Bellerin 7/10 – His superb play set-up the third goal but he struggled defensively at times.
Koscielny 6.5/10 – Not at his best in what was a poor Arsenal defensive display tonight.
Mertesacker 6/10 – Poor clearance led to their second goal and was all over the place at times, but he did make some important clearances.
Monreal 7/10 – Did well up against Ibe and got forward on occasion.
Flamini 6/10 – Lost out on the midfield battle but he was isolated at times up against three Liverpool midfielders.
Ramsey 7/10 – Superb finish to make it 1-1 and his runs were always dangerous. However, he left Flamini on his own too often which left us vulnerable.
Campbell 8/10 – Stunning pass to assist the Ramsey equaliser and was a real danger throughout.
Ozil 6.5/10 – Struggled to get in the game early on but grew into it and got himself another assist. Showed off some superb touches.
Walcott 5/10 – Awful decision to try and dribble out of defence led to the opener – which was one of several poor decisions. Not his night.
Giroud 8.5/10 – Missed an absolute sitter but on hand to poke home for 2-2 and made it 3-2 with a stunning finish. Great hold-up play as well.
