Confirmed line-ups: Aston Villa vs Arsenal – Havertz & Tzolis start

Arsenal are at Villa Park to take on Aston Villa tonight looking to make it two wins from their opening two Premier League games.

We kicked off the 2026/27 season with a solid 3-0 victory over Coventry City on the opening weekend but we should face a much sterner test against Villa this evening.

Mikel Arteta names an unchanged line-up so David Raya keeps goal for Arsenal once again while Gabriel Magalhaes marshals the defence. Ben White keeps his place at right-back with Jurrien Timber still working his way back to full fitness.

Cristhian Mosquera starts in the middle of the back four in the absence of William Saliba and Riccardo Calafiori retains his place at left-back ahead of Piero Hincapie. Ezri Konsa is named on the bench against his former club.

Myles Lewis-Skelly starts in midfield yet again with Declan Rice also keeping his place. Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal again tonight so Bruno Guimarães is on the bench along with Mikel Merino, Martin Zubimendi and Eberechi Eze.

The Arsenal front three remains unchanged with Bukayo Saka retaining his place at right wing ahead of Noni Madueke. Cristos Tzolis has made an impressive start to life at Arsenal following his summer move and he starts on the left flank with Gabriel Martinelli finalising a move away from the club.

Kai Havertz leads the line up front so Viktor Gyokeres has to make do with a place among the substitutes.
