Arsenal vs Bournemouth: Betting preview with odds and prediction
Arsenal will look to keep the pressure on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
A breathless April came to a close with a thrilling victory in the North London Derby on Sunday. In what was Arsenal’s eighth game in just four weeks, the Gunners showed no sign of fatigue as they raced into a 3-0 half-time lead at the New Tottenham Stadium. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed into his own net before a sweeping break saw Bukayo Saka slot home for 2-0. Kai Havertz then headed home Arsenal’s third from a corner to put us in total control at the break.
David Raya gifted Tottenham a way back into the game when his loose pass fell straight to Cristian Romero who cooly finished for 1-3 in the 64th minute. Declan Rice then gave away a penalty with just 5 minutes remaining and Hueng-min Son converted to make it 2-3 and set-up a nervy finish.
Thankfully, Arsenal held on to secure a vital win and extend their lead over Man City to four points ahead of the Cityzens trip to Nottingham Forest. The defending champions rode their luck at the City Ground as Forest wasted a number of excellent chances, but City walked away with a barely-deserved 2-0 win to close the gap to just one point with a game in hand.
The title is still in City’s hands so all Arsenal can do is keep putting the pressure on by winning their games and hope Pep Guardiola’s men slip up. Next up for the Gunners is a home game against Bournemouth at 12.30pm on Saturday, and with City not playing Wolves until 5.30pm, this is another terrific opportunity for the North Londoners to widen the gap and put the pressure on the Cityzens.
Bournemouth have been in good form lately and thrashed Brighton 3-0 at the weekend, so this won’t be an easy game for Arsenal, but they’ll be confident of getting the win to keep their title hopes alive.
Betting odds
Unsurprisingly, Arsenal are the heavy 1/8 favourites to win the game. Bournemouth are priced at 11/1 to claim a shock victory while the draw is available at odds of 5/1.
The Gunners have been in free scoring form in 2024 so over 3.5 match goals at odds of 10/11 looks like a good bet. Bournemouth have also been finding the net regularly so both teams to score at 4/5 also looks good.
Arsenal should have too much quality for Bournemouth at the Emirates and a 3-1 home win at 8/1 could be a good bet.
How to bet on the game
There are a growing number of online betting sites that accept cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and Bitcasino tokens can also be used to place bets, so fans have lots of options to bet on games these days.
The majority of punters still use traditional betting sites and bookmakers to place bets on football, and there are a large number of household names you can use.
Be sure to select a bookie that offers competitive odds and a wide selection of betting markets.
Prediction
Obviously Arsenal are the heavy favourites to win the game but the dynamics of sports are unpredictable so you never know what can happen. Arsenal can’t take things for granted and need to remain fully focused on the task at hand. Man City keep grinding out results which can take it’s toll, but all the Gunners can do is keep racking up the wins and apply as much pressure as possible.
Anything other than victory, and it will likely spell the end of our title charge for the season. The Londoners play first again this weekend so they have the chance to open up a four point gap at the top of the table with a win. Arteta’s men have responded well in these situations so far this season, so I’m expecting them to come out firing on all cylinders again on Saturday.
Bournemouth can be a dangerous side on their day, but they have very little left to play for and Arsenal will be desperate for the win to boost their title hopes. I predict another home win for Arsenal to keep the pressure on City. Arsenal 3-1 Bournemouth
