Arsenal have made the trip across London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage this afternoon knowing we need a win to restore our five point lead at the top of the table.

Manchester City cut our advantage to just two points with a narrow 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday so Arsenal need to respond against our London rivals today.

Mikel Arteta has been handed a major boost as Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Martin Odegaard and Kieran Tierney have all travelled with the squad to Craven Cottage.

Jesus has been out since injuring his knee at the World Cup but the Brazilian international returns to the squad this afternoon. Understandably, he’s only named on the bench but hopefully he can get some minutes under his belt.

Odegaard and Tierney missed Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Sporting Lisbon on Thursday night due to illness but they both return today. Odegaard is fit to start in the attacking midfield role while Tierney is named on the bench.

Trossard has missed the last couple of games with a groin problem but he’s passed fit to start up front for Arsenal. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli keep their places so Reiss Nelson makes way.

Aaron Ramsdale is recalled in goal with Matt Turner making way while Gabriel comes in for Jakub Kiwior in defence. Thomas Partey returns in midfield with Jorginho dropping to the bench and Granit Xhaka also starts.

These are the teams:

Arsenal

Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard.
