Arsenal simply have to get back to winning ways when we take on Aston Villa at Villa Park in today’s lunchtime kick-off.

Our excellent run of form has come to an abrupt end as we’ve picked up just one point from our last three Premier League games following Wednesday night’s frustrating 3-1 defeat to Manchester City. Arsenal have dropped to second on goal difference, so we desperately need to regain top spot with a win today.

Mikel Arteta has made a couple of changes to his starting eleven but Aaron Ramsdale starts in goal once again for the Gunners this afternoon. Ben White returns at right-back after being left out in midweek. Takehiro Tomiyasu drops to the bench after his costly error gifted City the opening goal.

Oleksandr Zinchenko retains his place at left-back while Gabriel starts alongside William Saliba once again at the heart of Arsenal’s defence. The Brazilian was at fault for City’s second goal so he’ll be hoping to make amends today.

Granit Xhaka keeps his place in midfield with Martin Odegaard occupying the third central midfield position. Thomas Partey remains out with a muscle knock so Jorginho keeps his place in midfield.

Bukayo Saka starts once again on the right flank while Eddie Nketiah leads the line up front and he’ll be looking to make up for his two poor misses against City.

Gabriel Martinelli drops to the bench with Leandro Trossard handed a start on the left wing. Emile Smith Rowe is back on the bench after returning to fitness.

These are the line-ups:
