Arsenal predicted line-up against Tottenham

The Premier League is set to resume with a high-voltage game on Saturday lunchtime as Arsenal will take on arch-rival Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners will be coming into this game off the back of a terrific 3-0 victory versus Brentford just before the international break. Mikel Arteta’s side are currently sitting at the top of the league with 18 points from seven games, one point ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

On the other hand, Spurs have also enjoyed a great start to the new campaign as they are still unbeaten in the league this season. Antonio Conte’s side have managed to accumulate the same number of points as the Citizens, but sit third in goal difference.

This will be the 192nd meeting between these two sides and in the previous 191 encounters, Arsenal have won on 79 occasions, with Spurs coming up on top 61 times and the rest finished in stalemates.

Arsenal expected line-up against Tottenham Hotspur

Mikel Arteta could go with his preferred 4-3-3 formation in this encounter, with Aaron Ramsdale being set to start between the sticks.

William Saliba should commence at the heart of Arsenal’s defence alongside Gabriel Magalhães, while Ben White might keep hold of his place in the starting line-up as the right-back.

Oleksandr Zinchenko sustained a calf issue just before the international break but is expected to be passed fit to return tomorrow. Kieran Tierney also picked up a head injury during his international duty with Scotland, and could drop out for Zinchenko against Tottenham.

After just recovering from a thigh problem, Thomas Partey suffered a fresh knee injury during national duty with Ghana. However, the injury is only thought to be a minor one and Partey is tipped to start against Spurs. Mohamed Elneny is sidelined with a long-term hamstring issue, so Albert Sambi Lokonga will be an option from the bench with Granit Xhaka keeping his place.

After missing out on the game against Brentford due to a minor issue, Martin Odegaard is set to return to action on Saturday in his preferred attacking midfield position. Fabio Vieira impressed in his full debut last time out but Arsenal’s summer signing will drop to the bench against Spurs.

Following his groin surgery, Emile Smith Rowe is set to be sidelined until December. Reiss Nelson is also expected to miss out on this game due to injury issues.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli should start on the flanks and they will be given the responsibility of stretching the opposition back line, while Gabriel Jesus could lead the line for Arsenal against Antonio Conte’s side tomorrow.
