Arsenal are expected to launch a bid to sign Villarreal forward Yeremi Pino and an offer of £38m would be accepted by the La Liga side, as per the report in the Goal.

The Gunners are keen on strengthening their forward line this summer. After signing Gabriel Jesus to bolster their centre-forward position, Mikel Arteta’s side have seemingly shifted their attention to add more options on the flanks.

Pino has emerged as the new potential target for Arsenal. He made his senior first team debut for Villarreal back in 2020 and took no time to establish himself as a regular starter at Estadio de la Ceramica. The youngster enjoyed a productive campaign last season, scoring six goals and notching up four assists in 31 La Liga appearances.

According to the report by Goal, the 19-year-old has a release clause of around £67m (€80m) in his current contract but the Yellow Submarines would be willing to accept a fee of around £38m (€45m) for their star man.

The report further claims that Arsenal are yet to make a concrete approach to sign the highly-rated forward but that is expected to change soon with the Gunners set to step-up their pursuit as they look to land a winger before the end of the transfer window.

Pino to Arsenal:

Many players have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent days but there hasn’t been any concrete approach from Arsenal to strengthen their squad, with only a few weeks remaining in the transfer window.

Despite adding five major acquisitions to the squad, the Gunners need more additions this summer. So, they will need to act fast and provide more options to Mikel Arteta in order to help the Spaniard in achieving success this season.

I believe they lack options in midfield and on the flanks. Arteta’s side struggled to cope with the high intensity of the Premier League in the final few games of the last season due to the lack of depth in the squad and eventually missed out on a chance to finish in the top four.

Meanwhile, having qualified for the Europa League this term, it will be an even more demanding campaign for Arsenal. So, the Gunners can’t afford to waste more time and need to accelerate their transfer business to provide enough resources to Arteta in order to help him in achieving all the objectives this season.
