Arsenal have confirmed a double injury boost ahead of our Carabao Cup clash with Brentford with Sead Kolasinac and Carl Jenkinson both back in full training.

Kolasinac is yet to feature in a competitive game under Unai Emery after suffering a knee injury in pre-season and the Bosnian international was initially not expected to return until the end of October.

However, the left-back has made a swift recovery and the club have now confirmed that Kolasinac is in full training again meaning he could be in contention to face Brentford tomorrow night.

Jenkinson has also failed to make a first team appearance this season after falling out-of-favour and his chances of forcing his way in to Emery’s plans have been hampered by an ankle sprain in recent weeks.

However, the right-back is now in full training again and will be hoping to be named in the squad against the Championship hopefuls at the Emirates on Wednesday night with Hector Bellerin expected to be rested.

The club have also provided an update on Laurent Koscielny and the centre-back is on course to making his return from an Achilles injury in November having stepped-up his rehabilitation recently by starting outdoor ball work.

The final update regards Ainsley Maitland-Niles and the versatile midfielder is progressing well in his recovery from a fractured leg that he suffered during the opening weekend defeat to Manchester City.

Maitland-Niles was initially not due back until November but the clubs medical team are now expecting him to resume full training in early October as long as he doesn’t suffer any set-backs.

The update on Arsenal.com said:

Sead Kolasinac
Now back in full training following left knee injury.

Carl Jenkinson
Now back in full training following sprain to right ankle.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Small fracture to left fibula. Progressing well and now expected to return to full training in early October (initially aiming to return to training in November).

Laurent Koscielny
Right Achilles tendon repair. Now working outside. Aiming to return to full training in November.
