27-y/o Arsenal star seriously considering late move after falling out-of-favour

According to Le10Sport, Alexandre Lacazette is seriously considering his future at the club after falling out-of-favour under new boss Unai Emery and could even leave this week.

Lacazette arrived at Arsenal as one of the most deadly finishers in European football following an impressive spell at Lyon that saw him regularly hit 20-30 goals per season during his final four years at the club.

The 27-year-old enjoyed an encouraging start to life in north London after providing 17 goals and 5 assists in his 39 appearances under Arsene Wenger and there was an expectation that he’d kick-on this campaign.

However, Lacazette has been consigned to the substitutes bench for our opening three Premier League games this season with Emery opting to deploy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the central strikers role.

Fans are desperate to see both strikers played together with Auba making it clear he’s happy to move out to the wing – where he regularly played during his time at Borussia Dortmund – to accommodate Laca through the middle.

However, Emery suggested at his press conference last week that he was happy with Aubameyang up front meaning Lacazette was going to have to bide his time and it seems this hasn’t gone down well with the Frenchman.

Le10Sport claims that Lacazette is giving serious consideration to his future at Arsenal and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of pushing for a move before the European window closes on Friday night.

The French publication says some European clubs have already been in touch to ask about Lacazette’s situation and it’s not impossible that a move – most likely a loan – could be pursued before the end of the week.

However, any move is highly unlikely to be agreed as Arsenal are unable to sign a replacement until January so I’d be shocked if the club let Laca leave over the coming days.

I can understand his frustration as like many fans, I think it’s a huge mistake to leave him on the bench and we’d be a far more dangerous outfit if Laca was up front with Auba on the wing, but it’s Emery’s decision.

If the situation continues over the coming months then I would expect Lacazette to push for a move in January but there’s no way he’ll be allowed to leave this summer.
