Arsenal open talks with French star ahead of possible £22m move
According to RMC via GetFrenchFootball, Arsenal have opened talks with Layvin Kurzawa about a possible move to north London as Paris Saint-Germain prepare to sell for £22m this summer.
We may not know who the manager is going to be after this weekend but the club is still pressing ahead with our summer transfer business and strengthening the defence is a priority.
We’ve shipped 50 goals this season so we need to sign at least one centre-back and another right-back to support Hector Bellerin, however, a new left-back is also supposedly on the agenda.
Sead Kolasinac has struggled to impress following his move from Schalke last summer and with Nacho Monreal 32, we need to find a long-term replacement for the Spaniard.
It looks like we may have found our man as GetFrenchFootball are citing a report from RMC that claims Arsenal have opened talks with Kurzawa’s representatives to discuss a possible move this summer.
The French international only joined PSG from Monaco two years ago but he’s fallen behind Yuri Berchiche in the pecking order during the second half of this season and it seems the Ligue 1 champs are ready to cash-in.
The report says PSG have already informed Kurzawa that he can leave this summer if a club pays around £22m and it appears Arsenal are now showing a keen interest.
However, we aren’t the only club in the running as the French outlet says Tottenham and Chelsea could yet renew their interest having tried to sign the left-back in January.
It’s going to be interesting to see what business Arsenal end up doing this summer as it’s promising to be an exciting few months ahead but I personally don’t think anything will be agreed until a new manager is installed.
