[Tweets] Arsenal shareholder names 7 players he wants sold after blasting Mesut Ozil

By on March 4, 2018

Arsenal fan and shareholder Piers Morgan has named seven players he’d ‘sell tomorrow’ and blasted Mesut Ozil for his part in today’s shocking 2-1 defeat to Brighton.

We were woeful once again this afternoon as poor goalkeeping and defending gifted Brighton a 2-0 lead before Aubameyang pulled one back just before half-time.

The players barely got out of second gear in the second half as we slumped to our fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions to leave us 13 points off the top four.

There were some shocking performances at the Amex Stadium today but celebrity fan Piers Morgan – who also has shares in the club – took to Twitter to pick out seven players he’d love to see sold.

Morgan claims he’d get rid of Xhaka, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Koscielny, Iwobi, Lacazette and Ramsey tomorrow if he had the chance – although I’m not sure why he stopped at just those seven as I’d sell most of the squad right now!

However, while it’s difficult to argue with the sentiment, I’m not sure why he picked on Lacazette or Ramsey as they weren’t even playing today and are two  players most would like to see stay at the club.

The controversial TV presenter also singled out Mesut Ozil for criticism for his performance against Brighton after blasting the German international as a lazy git for not trying to win back the ball after he had lost possession.

Ozil was certainly well below his best today and his body language was worrying as he looked completely uninterested so it’s difficult to argue with Morgan’s assessment.

It’s safe to say there are many unhappy Arsenal fans right now and the mood around the club is toxic. It’s time for Wenger to step down before things go from bad to worse.
