Arsenal Agree Fee To Sign French Attacking Duo
According to widespread reports today, Arsenal have agreed a fee with Lens over the double signing of highly-rated attackers Yassin Fortune and Jeff Reine-Adelaïde.
As I reported earlier this week, we have been strongly linked with Fortune in recent months and have been fighting it out with Manchester United over his signature.
Reports claimed that we were set to wrap-up a deal for the French prospect after supposedly agreeing terms over a 3-year contract with the 16-year-old forward.
However, it appears we’re now ready to complete a double swoop on Lens as the Daily Mail are one of several media outlets who’re reporting today that we’ve agreed a £3m fee with the Ligue 1 club to sign Fortune and team-mate Reine-Adelaïde.
The 17-year-old has also been impressing in the Lens youth team and the attacking midfielder is considered as one of the best young talents to have come through the academy in recent times.
Both players are French Under-17 international’s and it seems that despite interest from several other clubs, Arsene Wenger’s history of nurturing young French players has convinced the duo to opt for a switch to the Emirates.
Let’s hope they follow in the foot-steps of Nicolas Anelka rather than Yaya Sanogo…..
