Arsenal Offer Welbeck Four-Year Deal After Agreeing £16m Fee

By on September 1, 2014

Widespread reports claim that Arsenal have agreed a £16m fee with Manchester United for striker Danny Welbeck.

After hours of speculation, the BBC broke the news that we had come to the agreement with United for the 23-year-old forward.

Tottenham were also in the running but Welbeck made it clear he wanted to move to the Emirates.

Various media outlets, including Sky Sports News, are now reporting that a deal is in place and United have given the forward permission to discuss personal terms.

Goal claim we’ve offered him a four-year deal worth £100,000-a-week with the option for a fifth, and there were rumours he even had a medical earlier this afternoon in anticipation of a move.

It will run close to the deadline to get this one over the line, but it should get done barring any late hiccups. Not the world class striker we wanted but he’s certainly an upgrade on Sanogo….

Wenger needs to wake up and pay attention show that he’s serious and stop just talking about it. Actions speak louder than words Arsene. Ship up or ship out!

Wake up my son and for once in your life take a look at the bigger picture. You clearly have no idea what this club has achieved over the last 17 years. You dont have any idea what really happens behind the scene´s in a successful football. You are obviously a Tottenham supporter.

What more do you people want? An international goalkeeper, replacement right back, youthful defensive cover, and two international players who can play every position across the front line.. all signed this window!! If they were all signed on deadline day, you’d be jumping off the roof tops saying we had the best day of all the clubs..

Just because it’s not a £50m striker it’s apparentely not good enough.. you’re the same ‘fans’ who wanted Ramsey gone two years ago, who wanted Mertesacker and Koscielny out after shaky first seasons.. who thought Szczesny would never improve.. when will the retards realise that the players you have can, and will, improve. The top players weren’t all amazing at the ages of 18-22.. they gradually improved and the players we have will get there.. Ramsey did, Szczesny did, Koscielny did, Gibbs did.. Wilshere, Sanogo and Ozil will get there..

Yes, we will eventually need a new DM, but for now I will support every player that pulls on the Arsenal shirt and will support our manager for as long as he’s our manager..

unless otherwise wenger ls out arsenal ls declining. arsen wenger ls only talkative. even he doesn’t know who to change during a game. wenger has a problem ln defensive midfielde. for me he would rather sign defensive midfielde than welbeck. why wenger don’t give a chance for joe Campbell?

welback is ok , but we need a blocking four (4) for Christ sack. how do we face this other big clubs “man city, Chelsea, Liverpool even the spur. And we are not comfortable with this late signing in case of next time, pls.

welback is a great player, I wish he scores more goal for my team Arsenal, and also use to our system of football. but my worry is the midfield.
