Arsenal Hoping To Announce Quadruple Deal This Month

By on January 21, 2014

Arsenal are hoping to soon announce a quadruple deal that will see Arsene Wenger, Per Mertesacker, Bacary Sagna and Tomas Rosicky commit their future’s to the club, according to the Evening Standard.

Much has been written about the future of Wenger in recent months as his deal expires at the end of the season but he hinted last week that he had already agreed to extend his stay at the Emirates.

Many newspapers suggested the boss was delaying making an official announcement until we had also agreed deals for some key players who’s future’s are in doubt, namely Rosicky, Sagna and Mertesacker.

Rosicky’s contract expires at the end of the season but the Czech international is a real fan favourite at the club and has been in excellent form this season, so fully warrants a new deal.

Whether the club will be willing to give the 33-year-old more than a 12 month extension is likely to be a sticking point though as Rosicky could get a two-year deal elsewhere and with his previous injury worries, you wouldn’t blame him for opting to secure another year’s pay packet.

Sagna is also in the final year of his contract and there is little doubt we’re desperate to tie him to a fresh deal. We’ve apparently offered him a two-year contract – a rarity for a player over 30 – but the likes of PSG, Monaco and Galatasaray are all willing to offer more money and a longer contract.

The longer Sagna goes without signing an extension, the more likely it becomes that he’ll be tempted away and it would be a real shame if we lost a player of his caliber due to contract issues again.

Mertesacker is reported to have all-but agreed a new two-year extension that will tie him to the club until 2017, which is just reward for his superb form over the past 12 months. The sooner he’s made captain the better!

So it seems like Wenger and Per have agreed new deals, but Rosicky and Sagna are proving harder to tie down. The Evening Standard’s report suggests the club are hopeful of making a breakthrough over the coming weeks and want to announce a quadruple deal much in the same way we did just over a year ago when Wilshere, The Oxe, Gibbs, Jenks and Ramsey all signed extensions.

Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. Wenger should not be given a new contract unless we win something this year. Otherwise we should get a new manager. About time Arsenal looks at alternatives to Rosicky and Sagna not new contracts. We could and should do better in these positions. Yes please. New contract for Per.

OK Ed Win, thank you for showing your true stupidity. Wenger should be given whatever the hell he ask for. Who do you think would do a better job, that the board would allott more money too, who can manage players w/ superb talent, in a manner better than any gaffers.
His plan is working, and he is doing exactly what he told you morons who can’t hear what was happening. We would recoup money from the highbury move, and after that we would re-build. Hell of a start by getting Ozil, who none of us Goons had a clue about, and he has the boys top of the table. Show some damn respect, you impatient whiny lil woman. He should walk out when he wants. The same as Fergie and when he does, we will be in an entire new development era, like United are currently dealing with. If he were fired or not offered an extension it would make it worse and quite frankly it would be embarassing. moreover, you would see top players leave as a result, not come in you absolute moron. Im disgusted and tired of hearing so many of our fans bitch and moan about constant disapproval of one player or Wenger. How about enjoying this beautiful artistic run we are on, instead of bitching all the time and posting stupid remarks. this is idiotic.

You all are absolute Morons, really, who is better than Wenger. I support Arsenal because of the quality football we play with whatever squad is there year in and year out. I appreciate the stability and patience we show in our managers, staff and players. Wenger has done amazing things and will again. You all are terrible idiots, who think Wenger can make things happen with the snap of a finger. You clearly don’t know the business side of football nor the technical. Any fan who says Wenger should be dropped is a psychopath. It will not happen and I hope you all decide to go support Chelsea or City where your team will then fire managers weekly if needed, and spend stupid sums of money just to do it, while Wenger spends his time training players into top talents, and still has a better winning history than city and it’s entire history as a football club
