Wenger Confirms Defender Ruled Out For 3 Weeks
Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday morning ahead of our trip to the Hawthorns to take on West Brom.
The boss was asked for the latest on Bacary Sagna’s injury and unfortunately the defender has been ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring strain.
Sagna picked up the problem during Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Napoli and had a scan on Thursday to assess the damage. Sadly it revealed that the 30-year-old will have to sit out the next three weeks meaning he’ll miss Sunday’s clash with West Brom, France’s upcoming double-header, Norwich on the 19th and also our crucial Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund.
It’s certainly a blow but it gives Carl Jenkinson a great opportunity to come in and show what he can do. Here’s what the boss told Arsenal.com this morning:
